In this issue Kaida escapes from Aurich Meier's captivity through the cenote entrance in the cellar of his Hacienda and quickly runs into deadly trouble. Once at the cave entrance of Xibalba - fabled by the Maya as the "place of fear" or gateway to hell, Kaida presses on with her mission to find the ancient relic of Atlantis called the Breastplate. Aurich, scrambling to find the meaning of the Breastplate from a man who has written a book on the subject, becomes fearful that the sacred mission he inherited from his grandfather has been usurped by a small Asian girl.
