What is the Subconscious Mind and How can it Lead us to Self Mastery?

Sigmund Freud gets initial credit for pointing out that there is a large portion of the mind that contains unprocessed trauma and grief, as well as repressed emotional desires. However in modern times, new studies about the quantum field reveals that the subconscious mind may be all entangled with the collective memories and totality of all there is - and that our personal memories etc are tuned into our particular frequency that our brains are a vibrational match to receive.

In terms of personal control of our life circumstances at any given time I liken the subconscious to a metaphor:

Imagine you are sailing a boat on the open sea. You represents the personal YOU, the boat is your emotional body, the sea, wind and sky are the subconscious realm. You're going along, minding your own business (or not) when suddenly, someone cuts you off on the highway, or your significant other says something really insensitive to you - and the next thing you know the sky gets dark, the winds kick up and the waves start crashing all around you.

Two immediate possibilities occur:

1. You lose control of the wheel of the boat, and as soon as a wave crashes the boat sideways, you fall to the floor coughing and trying not to drown or get tossed out of the boat. The wind and waves send the boat careening across the ocean, tossing and turning it here and there until it leaves you stranded on a deserted island - where you spend the rest of your shitty day recovering from the trauma - feeling like a victim.

2. You manage to center yourself and hold onto the wheel, maintaining some semblance of presence and control, keeping the boat steady, until the storm passes. Which it always does.

In the first scenario, the boater wasn't prepared to respond to the sudden storm and was overwhelmed. I don't know about you, but this has happened so many times. And for different reasons, because the subconscious stores all our personal triggers - the emotional sore spots that link to various beliefs about ourselves and/or the world that when challenged or triggered sets us off. I liken them to Landmines - because they're hidden, but deadly when tripped over. The boater in this case, is not aware of the possible dangers that could occur.

In the second scenario, or any version of grey area of self-preservation, the boater is aware of not only his vessel (emotional body) and how to works under stress, but the ocean in all its unpredictable glory and power. He's been there, done that, and anticipates something happening and is ready. He's able to respond. However he has prepared himself - whether through exercises, breathing techniques, meditation, centering, Qui gong, chanting, yoga, affirmations, journalling - he is centered and prepared to the best of his ability. He may still get shook up, side swiped, even thrown overboard - but it will not undermine his ability to stay aware and respond.

How do you come to be prepared? After all the subconscious is hidden. It is vastly unknown to us, and it goes very deeply. It lies in wait in the shadows, as Carl Jung would put it. And yet it has so much influence over the circumstances of our minds - our creativity, our dreams, our hopes, our disappointments, our beliefs, our repressed emotional baggage - all the while undermining our ability to maintain control of our game.

Raise your consciousness - your vibration. Observe your thoughts. Get detached and become the observer. Quiet your mind and listen - to your own inner chatter - to others. Take particular note that whatever you observe in your daily life is a glimpse into what is lurking inside you - for better or worse. Life then becomes your teacher, your mirror and your dream to interpret and begin to mold -as you learn to become a lucid dreamer - one who is awake within the dream.

How does Quantum Hypnosis fit in? Hypnosis is a way to quiet and still the fearful, egoic, noisy mind that is constantly challenging, judging, doubting and compartmentalizing. Once the conscious mind is quiet, the infinite wisdom of the client's higher self through the subconscious in the quantum field can deliver whatever memories or images are appropriate for the client to experience to get the answers and clarity or perspective they are looking for at this time.

Often memories, whether they're from this lifetime, or a past lifetime, contain buried emotional traumas - a pain body - needing to be released. The trauma directs the mind to bury the very painful emotion away into the emotional body until the person is ready to deal with it. The emotional body is apparently quantum, as it carries the energy signature of the emotion forward from lifetime after lifetime. There the emotional traumatic memory sits, like a time bomb, waiting to be defused.

Hypnosis, with the help of a good centered therapist, can help us face this trauma, as well as other limiting beliefs, and let it go. Sometimes in the session there are tears, but mostly the client is ready to process the grief and let it pass like a small storm. At the end of a past life regression, the higher self of the client is called forth to answer questions. The higher self actually speaks through the client laying on the bed - while the therapist asks the questions the client has prepared. Additionally, the therapist will ask the higher self to do a scan of the client's body to see if there is anything that needs clearing.

This is where healing of the physical body can occur. Trapped emotions attach to various parts of the body - as been mapped by Chinese acupuncturists and others who notice that certain pain or ailments are associated with very particular emotional and psychological issues. For example, pain in the leg, knee or hip is often associate with the inability to move forward in life, or the person is not moving in the way that is best for their life's purpose. They're in conflict with the direction of their life - either now, or in the past. The client may have unresolved resentment or anger with someone, or with themselves, or other unconscious issues, which is causing the body discomfort. At this point the higher self will say what the issue is, if it's appropriate for the client to know at this time, and clear it on the spot - or give recommendations for the client to clear it themselves with specific instructions.

My first experience with hypnosis occurred in my twenties. I was was put under quite easily and proceeded to have a quick but very intense experience that included my mother of this lifetime. She was an infant in that lifetime - and the emotion that poured from me was profound. That's when you know it's working. Afterwards I had a shift in perspective about my mother. My attitude towards her softened, as I was able to access a multidimensional point of view. Going forward, I believe this experience of expanded awareness stuck with me. It was as if undergoing a past life regression paved the way in my brain to perceive more multidimensionally. In any case, I have been since able to perceive past life issues when the time came for me to "know" and to release the block. My connection to my higher self has strengthened over the years leading me down a path of self mastery.

My dream is to pass along as many secrets as I have discovered in my process of healing to as many of you who are ready to make known the unknown, and enter the realm of multidimensionality toward self-mastery.
